Riverlake Named Brokers of the Year 2023 for Cargo Day

What a night ! At the Bâtiment des Forces Motrices in Geneva, on September 19th, over 400 guests from the shipping and trading community gathered last night to celebrate the $4 million raised over the past year. Five companies – Scorpio Group, Riverlake, ST Shipping, Trafigura, and Oldendorff Carriers GmbH & Co. KG – were honored with an award for their highest contributions.

We are incredibly proud to have been named Brokers of the Year 2023 during this occasion. Marc Lecoanet, our CEO received the award on behalf of our deeply committed team, alongside the Geneva committee members, David Walker chairman, and Alessandro Gelli doing so much, the Mercy Ships team driven by Bryce Wagner, the committees of London, Singapore, Rotterdam, Houston and so many other people who are doing an incredible work. This is also the first gala without Tim Webb, the initiator and driving force behind Cargo Day, who left us far too soon. Tim’s vision and passion laid the foundation for everything we are celebrating today.

As the maritime industry, we have a huge role to play in this mission. We’re not just moving goods and cargoes around the world – we’re helping bring life-saving care to those who need it most. We are part of a movement that’s redistributing wealth and opportunities to those often left behind. That’s powerful!
