Fact : Riverlake Nigeria
16.12.2016

Riverlake Nigeria has evolved over the years in numerous growth and expansion business areas. One of such capacity building strategy has been the ability of the company to charter and operate oil tankers directly with local players.

How was this achieved?

This has been possible through the strength of our Lagos office which over the years, has created new business opportunities, managed existing relationships, leveraged of support and synergy from Riverlake Group office in Geneva, and bridged the gap between our entities abroad and the local market in Nigeria.

Did you know that Riverlake Nigeria is the first and only international ship brokers in Nigeria?
We have a strong and active presence in the indigenous market, and a self-sustained office in the commercial capital of Nigeria, Lagos state.

Did you know that our Lagos office handles its own chartering and operations for all Nigerian based shipping requirements?

We continually provide professional and international service delivery to all our clients and are positioned to be the leading indigenous ship brokers in Nigeria.

October 19th, 2016: the « Cargo Day » in favor of Mercy Ships
14.09.2016

On the 19th of October will be the “cargo day” in favor of Mercy ships, a NGO operating the world’s largest private hospital ship, serving in the poorest countries in the world ranked by the United Nations Human Development Index.

The vessel is always based in Africa and now is in Cotonou where she will stay one year after a year spent in Madagascar with a total of :

- 2,899 operations performed.
- 1,987 health professionals trained.
- 12,688 dental patients treated.

A second ship is currently under construction and will be fully deployed in 2018, thus expanding the ability of Mercy Ships to deliver medical care, while significantly increasing capacity building and training potential.

For the first time ever the shipping and trading community raises funds for Mercy Ships. Riverlake are participating to this donation.

How does it work ?

On October 19th 2016, Charterers give or commit cargoes (called Mercy Cargoes) to participants (shipbrokers) or nominate participants (port agents and inspection companies) who in turn will donate 50% of their commission made on Mercy Cargoes to Mercy Ships. Riverlake among others fully support this action and hope to achieve the maximum participation together with you.

For More information we invite you to visit http://www.mercyshipscargoday.org/ and don’t hesitate to contact us or MercyShips if more information is needed.
